Red Buckeye leafs out early
(about March in our area) with an attractive display of showy,
deep red flowers that the hummingbirds love. It has large
dark green leaves that are 3 to 6 inches long and have a
drooping habit. It will bloom at an early age, often when
it is only 3 feet tall. Given moist, well-drained soil and full
sun it will grow to 10 to 20 feet tall and develop a 10 to 20
foot spread. Makes a great specimen tree.
