The various varieties that we
carry are recommended for this area and are grown in three to seven gallon
nursery pots at the nursery. The recommended planting times for
container grown trees is early spring and late fall. This is also
when we carry the largest selection of trees on site.

Very
disease resistant. Very large fruit size. Released from the
University of Arkansas breeding program. Plant patent 11865. Can
train to trellis. Berries are ready to pick when they separate
easily from the stems.
Canes are mostly self-supporting or free standing. Plant patent 6679.
Introduced in 1988. Fruit are large and firm, and are less
tart than other thornless. Hardy to -14 degrees F.
The Navajo Blackberry is a
popular variety, and can produce a large crop of sweet
blackberries. They establish themselves
quickly into the environment, and can tolerate both heat and
cold.
Kiowa Blackberries are a
vigorous thorny blackberry with the largest fruit of any
blackberry on the market today. The fruit is firm, with an
excellent flavor.
